Sure, that’s not what Wikipedia says, but everybody knows not to take Wikipedia at face value. But Livingston, who played Peter in Office Space, can’t help but pay attention to the user-edited encyclopedia, since somebody keeps changing his page to claim that Livingston is gay. Now he’s suing to make it stop.
Livingston, who got married this year – to a woman! – claims some anonymous user continually edits his wiki page to state that he is in a relationship with someone named Lee Dennison. Of course, Livingston claims that is completely false and “malicious.”
According to the lawsuit, the Internet harassment began in May, and it’s stated that every time Livingston’s reps edit the page, the anonymous wiki bandit changes it back “almost immediately.” To make things worse, the alleged perpetrator also created fake Facebook profiles for both Ron and “Lee,” claiming they are in a relationship with each other.
Livingston is suing for libel, invasion of privacy and usage of his name and likeness without permission. Damages have not been specified.
